This year’s national @lantic 7’s series came to an end with the Champion of Champions tournament that took place on Saturday 1 November at Atomic Sport Academy just outside of Pretoria.  

The following schools competed for the ultimate prize. HS Ben Vorster, HS  Voortrekker Bethlehem, Harmony Sport Academy, HS  Excelsior, Potchefstroom Gymnasium, HS  Middelburg, HTS Vereeniging, HS New Orleans, Glenwood High, Dale College, HS  Framesby, HS  Upington, HS Merensky, HS Monument, HS Waterkloof and @lantic Samurai Invitation team.

Harmony Sports Academy reigned supreme and was crowned as the Champion of Champions. They played Merensky in a closely contested final. Merensky dominated the first half and was in the lead with a halftime score of 17-7. In the second half Harmony stepped up their game and there was just no stopping them. The Virginia boys scored a try within the first seconds of the second half. Merensky tried in vain but the game was lost when Harmony scored another three tries. Harmony won the cup final with a final score of 33-17.

Hoërskool Voortrekker and Middelburg competed against each other in the plate final.
The scores were even at half time, with Hoërskool Voortrekker walking away with a close victory of 21- 19.

Upington and Dale College battled it out in the bowl final. Dale College won this final by 21-15.

In the Shield final, Monument triumphed over Potchefstroom Gimnasium with a victory of 43-5.
