The popular @lantic 7's series kicks off on Saturday, 31 January at Merensky High School in Tzaneen.  Last year's champions, Harmony Sport Academy from Virginia will also be in action. 
Meanwhile Jacques Erasmus, one of the stars of the @lantic series last year, has been included in the Springbok 7's squad which is currently preparing for among other the World Cup 7's tournament later this year.  The inclusion of Erasmus, an old boy of the HS Brandwag in Benoni, is proof that players in the non- super playing rugby schools can use the @lantic series as a stepping stone to higher achievements.

Since the launch of the @lantic series two years ago more than 500 schools have participated in the various tournaments.  The first six tournaments this year are as follows:
