The fourteenth tournament of the @lantic 7's series moves to HS Rob Ferreira in White River on Saturday, 10 October.  Some of the country's strongest schools 7's teams will be in action, amongst others Ben Vorster, Merensky and Middelburg Hoërskool.
The @lantic Invitation team, selected from the outstanding players of this year's @lantic series, won an international tournament in Windhoek last weekend. The South African school boys were just too fast and skilful for their more experienced opponents. According to sport promoter, Willem Strauss the expected inclusion of rugby in the Olympic Games in 2016, a decision which will be taken this weekend in Copenhagen, is already an injection for 7's rugby at school level. "The players currently participating in the @lantic series may be the potential stars who represent South Africa at the 2016 Olympic Games" said Strauss.
The first match kicks-off at 08:30 with the Cup final being played at 16:00.  The participating teams on Saturday are: HS Rob Ferreira, HS Ben Vorster, HS Volksrust, HS Carolina, HS Merensky, HGH Witbank, HS Gerrit Maritz, HS Lydenburg, HS Overkruin, Matsulu, HS Wonderboom, Lowveld High, HS Middelburg, HS Bergvlam, HS Barberton and Puma Development.
