The popular @lantic 7's series for high schools takes place on Saturday, 17 September at HS Merensky in Tzaneen. During the past 4 years more than a thousand teams have participated in the @lantic series. According to the tournament promoter, Willem Strauss, the remaining tournaments are of great importance to the players. "The first provincial @lantic U18 and also U13 7's tournament will take place on 6 & 7 October in the North West, which is an excellent motivation for even more schools to participate" said Strauss. The SA U18 7's team will participate in tournaments such as the Youth Olympic Games.

Ben Vorster and Merensky are once again favourites to win the tournament. Strong teams like Waterkloof, Nelspruit and HTS Middelburg will however provide a thorough test for the boys from Limpopo.

The first match kicks-off on Saturday at 08h30 with the cup final being played at 16h30. The participating schools are: HS Merensky, HS Ben Vorster, HS Frikkie Meyer, HS Wilgers, St. Albans, HTS Witbank, HS Waterkloof, HS Louis Trichardt, HS Pietersburg, HTS Middelburg, HS Frans du Toit, HS Nelspruit, HS Helmekaar, HS Ben Viljoen, HS Middelburg and Living Ball Centurion.
