Die Hoërskool Wonderboom van Pretoria het die afgelope naweek die @lantic 7's toernooi te Potchefstroom oortuigend gewen. Die span van Pretoria het nog 'n Blou Bul skool Overkruin 46 - 14 geklop in die Beker-finaal en daarmee gekwalifiseer vir die kampioene toernooi wat later vanjaar plaasvind. Wonderboom het uitstekende sewes rugby gespeel deur veral balbesit baie goed te behou. Richard Gernoltz, sterk senter van Wonderboom is aangewys as speler van die toernooi. Hy sal deel uitmaak van die @lantic uitnodigingspan wat later vanjaar aan 'n internasionale 7's toernooi gaan deelneem. Van die plaaslike Noord-Wes skole het Potchefstroom Gimnasium die beste gevaar deur die plaat-afdeling te verower.
The popular @lantic 7's series for high schools takes place on Friday 21 October and Saturday, 22 October at HS Monument in Krugersdorp. During the past 5 years more than a thousand teams have participated in the @lantic series.
According to Willem Strauss, tournament promoter, the @lantic provincial U/18 7's tournament will take place again this year. "The introduction of the provincial U/18 tournament for 7's and the selection of the SA Schools team has added status to the sport at schools" said Strauss.
HS Tygerberg, Champion of Champions Winner for 2011
The 2011 @lantic 7´s came to an impressive end at the Champion of Champions tournament held at Konka Sports Academy on the 4th and 5th of November.
This tournament was the culmination of hard work by players and coaches during the 2011 @lantic 7´s series and we had unbelievable talent and skill on display.
With the inaugural @lantic 7´s Provincials that took place in October, schools 7´s have now been firmly established as a permanent fixture on the SA rugby calendar.
The popular @lantic 7's series for high schools takes place on Saturday, 13 August at Jeppe Boys High. The winning team will qualify to participate in the Champions tournament later this year.
HTS Middelburg het verlede Saterdag die @lantic 7's toernooi in Witbank gewen deur Wonderboom van Pretoria 19 - 7 te klop in die Beker-finaal. HTS Middelburg, afgerig deur die voormalige Springbok 7's speler, Dirkie Strydom moes hard werk vir hul oorwinning. Die SA atleet, Rudi Erasmus van HS Brandwag is aangewys as die speler van die toernooi. Erasmus se verbysterende spoed was indrukwekkend en hy het ook 7 drieë gedruk.
