@lantic 7's Moves to Eastern Free State
The second tournament of the @lantic 7's series moves to Voortrekker Hoërskool in Bethlehem on Saturday, 14 February. In a repeat of last years champions tournament final Merensky of Tzaneen played against Harmony of Virginia during the tournament in Tzaneen a fortnight ago. Merensky reversed the half-time score of 14 - 0 to eventually win 24 - 14 in an exciting match. Sello Sekwela who represented the Limpopo Bulls at fly-half during last years Craven Week, was named player of the tournament.
The popular @lantic 7's series kicks off on Saturday, 31 January at Merensky High School in Tzaneen. Last year's champions, Harmony Sport Academy from Virginia will also be in action. Meanwhile Jacques Erasmus, one of the stars of the @lantic series last year, has been included in the Springbok 7's squad which is currently preparing for among other the World Cup 7's tournament later this year. The inclusion of Erasmus, an old boy of the HS Brandwag in Benoni, is proof that players in the non- super playing rugby schools can use the @lantic series as a stepping stone to higher achievements.
