The @lantic 7's series culminates in the Champion of Champions tournament on 1 November when the provincial tournament winners go head to head to determine the ultimate schools 7's team for 2008.
The event will be hosted at Atomic Sport just North of Pretoria and will also include a schools Summer Netball challenge.Â
The tournament will be broadcast live on SuperSport1 from 13:00 - 17:45.Â
Interest in the tournament is unbelievable and the organisers have been inundated with parents and supporters planning to attend from as far afield as Upington, Cape Town, Durban and PE.
Spectators will also have the opportunity to meet the @lantic 7's SuperSport presenters, Willem Strauss and Owen Hannie while being entertained by the 7's dance troup.
The national @lantic 7's series comes to a close on Saturday 1 November 2008 when the Best-of-the-Best face off in the last battle to crown the ultimate team for 2008. The event will be hosted at Atomic Sport Academy just outside Pretoria and will be broadcast live on SuperSport from 12h00-17h30.Â
The player of the tournament was JOHAN VD HOOGT from HS BEN VORSTER who will be invited to the @lantic training camp where an @lantic invitation team will be chosen to participate in the Dubai 7s.
The fifteenth @lantic 7's tournament this year will take place on Saturday, 18 October in Krugersdorp. The last tournament was won by Ben Vorster HS in Polokwane when they beat Middelburg HS 7 - 5 in the final. Justin van Staden from Merensky HS was selected as player of the tournament. Van Staden, who represented the Limpopo Blue Bulls at centre during Craven Week this year, will be invited to attend a training camp from which a youth team will be selected to tour Dubai at the end of November.Â
